Reminders

Reminder module is designed to track both personal and common deadlines related to the institute; it’s a structured approach that keeps everything organized in one place. It’s a centralized calendar that can serve as your main tool for tracking all deadlines. This allows you to have everything in one place and receive reminders. Few examples are given below:

  • Personal Deadlines: Assignment due dates, Exams or quizzes, Important meetings (e.g., with students or staff members).
  • Common/Institute Deadlines: Institute events or professional development days, Staff meetings, Certification or license renewals.
The need #

In an institute, reminders for important tasks like renewals are crucial for ensuring that essential administrative and academic processes are completed on time. These tasks can include things like library book renewals, registration for courses or extracurriculars, or renewal of permits. A central reminder system can help keep track of these tasks effectively.

Timely compliances Ensures that renewals are completed on time, avoiding late fees, missed opportunities, or disruptions to students’ activities.

Available Features #
    • A reminder can be made for the user’s own use or added to a calendar that can be shared with other users.
    • Multiple different calendars can be created for different purposes. For instance, (i) the Bill Payment Calendar can be used to set reminders for regular bill payments; (ii) the Renewal Calendar can set reminders for renewals such as fire licenses and affiliations; and (iii) the Exam Calendar can set reminders for exams.
    • Both individuals and groups (such as the teaching staff of a specific department) can be added to the calendar. 
    • A reminder may be periodic or for a specific day.
    • Supports multiple notifications for single reminder.

    • Track upcoming events.

    • Dashboard & Notification Centers helps tracking generated notifications.

Accessibility #
    • User having manage level right of reminder module can create calendar.
    • Any user can manage their individual reminders from their logins.

    • User having rights to Reminder module can access reminders of all users.
