USB backup failure

There are cases when EasyEdmin is configured to take backup into USB drive, but backup attempts are failed. Below are the steps to troubleshoot the problem.

1. Check the existence and health of the USB drive #

On the EasyEdmin server PC, check following operations to make sure that there is no problem with USB drive.

  1. Check that USB drive exists and opening.
  2. Check available space on USB drive.
  3. Check creating a text file on USB drive.

If everything is fine, try the next step

2. Check permission required to access USB from Windows Service #

Check and allow permissions as explained in this document – http://docs.easyedmin.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/06/USB_Detection_Problem_From_Windows_Service-1.pdf

This should most probably fix the problem.
