EasyEdmin supports two deployment models — Hybrid and Cloud. Both models provide the same core EasyEdmin functionality and use the same major application components.
The primary difference is where the EasyEdmin Server and primary database are hosted, and how users connect to the system.
The right deployment model depends on factors such as cost, local infrastructure, Internet connectivity, accessibility requirements, and the institute’s preference for managing server infrastructure.
Cost Consideration #
Hybrid deployment generally offers lower recurring hosting costs because the EasyEdmin Server is hosted at the Institute and does not require recurring cloud hosting for the core ERP system.
EasyEdmin Server is designed to be lightweight and can run on a regular modern PC, avoiding the need for dedicated high-end server hardware for most institutes.
However, Hybrid deployment requires the Institute to provide the computer on which EasyEdmin Server runs, along with the required network connectivity, power backup, and related maintenance.
Cloud deployment eliminates the need for an EasyEdmin Server at the Institute, reducing the need for local server infrastructure and its associated maintenance. However, it involves recurring cloud hosting costs.
Therefore, the most economical option depends not only on software costs, but also on the Institute’s existing infrastructure and its preferred capital vs. recurring operational expenditure.
Hybrid vs. Cloud #
| Hybrid Model | Cloud Model | |
|---|---|---|
| Cost | Lower recurring hosting cost; requires a local computer for EasyEdmin Server | Recurring cloud hosting cost; no local server required |
| EasyEdmin Server | Hosted at the Institute | Hosted on cloud infrastructure |
| Primary Database | Hosted with the Institute's EasyEdmin Server | Hosted with the cloud-hosted EasyEdmin Server |
| Local Server Hardware | A regular modern PC can be used in most cases | Not required |
| Local Network | Used for fast local access | Not required for server access |
| Internet Dependency for ERP | Local ERP access can continue without Internet | Internet is required to access the system |
| Remote Access | Available through Static IP and appropriate router configuration | Available directly through the Internet |
| Student/Parent App | Uses EasyEdmin Cloud for synchronised data and services; selected services may connect directly to the server | Uses EasyEdmin Cloud and cloud-hosted services |
| Server Infrastructure Maintenance | Institute manages the computer and local infrastructure | Server infrastructure is hosted in the cloud |
| Best Suited For | Institutes preferring local control, fast LAN access, and lower recurring hosting costs | Institutes preferring cloud hosting, simplified local infrastructure, and easy remote accessibility |
Hybrid Model — Local Control with Cloud Connectivity #
In the Hybrid Model, the EasyEdmin Server and primary database are hosted at the Institute.
Institute users can access EasyEdmin through the local network, providing fast access without depending on the Internet connection for normal local ERP operations.
EasyEdmin Server is lightweight and can generally run on a regular modern PC, making Hybrid deployment practical without requiring dedicated high-end server hardware.
Relevant data is automatically synchronised with EasyEdmin Cloud to support cloud-based services, including 24×7 Student/Parent App access.
Hybrid is particularly suitable for institutes that prefer to maintain their primary ERP data within their own premises and have limited reliance on services that require direct communication with the EasyEdmin Server from outside the Institute.

Cloud Model — Easy Access Without Local Server Infrastructure #
In the Cloud Model, the EasyEdmin Server and primary database are hosted on cloud infrastructure.
Users access EasyEdmin through the Internet, eliminating the need for an EasyEdmin Server at the Institute.
This model is suitable for institutes that prefer not to maintain local server infrastructure and want EasyEdmin to be accessible from different locations through the Internet.
Which Model Should You Choose? #
Choose Hybrid if you:
- Want to minimize the cost.
- Prefer your primary ERP database to be hosted at the Institute.
- Want very fast local ERP access through the Institute’s network.
- Want the ERP to remain usable locally even when Internet connectivity is temporarily unavailable.
- Prefer to maintain local control over the primary ERP data.
- Do not have a heavy requirement for services that require direct communication with the EasyEdmin Server from outside the Institute.
- Want a practical on-premise solution that can generally run on a regular modern PC rather than dedicated server hardware.
- Need remote access from outside the Institute and are comfortable using Static IP and appropriate router configuration.
Choose Cloud if you:
- Do not want to maintain an Institute server.
- Prefer cloud-hosted infrastructure.
- Want to avoid managing local server hardware and related infrastructure.
- Have significant requirements for services that need direct communication with the EasyEdmin Server from outside the Institute.
- Prefer recurring cloud hosting costs over maintaining local server infrastructure.
Hybrid or Cloud — Both Are EasyEdmin #
EasyEdmin provides both deployment options so that institutes can choose the model that best fits their infrastructure, budget, connectivity, and operational requirements.
Hybrid combines local control with cloud connectivity, while Cloud provides cloud-hosted infrastructure without requiring a local EasyEdmin Server.
